UDog Auditions at McGrath Lexus of Chicago

Official Rules

This Sweepstakes is sponsored by ‘WCIU, The U,’ whose corporate address is 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, Illinois 60661 (the "Sponsor").

A purchase is not required to enter or win one (1) of five (5) UDog Auditions (the “Prize”). Viewers may register at WCIU.com to attend a UDog pre-audition (the “Event”) between October 15, 6am and October 21, 3pm.  The event will be held at McGrath Lexus dealership at 1250 West Division Street, Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, October 22 from 11am-1pm. Viewers who do not sign up during this entry window on this website are still able and welcome to attend the event and will sign in upon arrival. All participants must arrive and be checked in by 1pm. At the Event, the dogs and their owners will have video and photos taken of them for promotional use. These videos and photos will be used to judge each participating dog to be one (1) of the five (5) finalists to receive an in studio UDog audition (the “Promotion”). All attendees will be required to sign a publicity release and waiver upon check in. There is no cash value or cash award for participation or being selected as one (1) of the five (5) finalists. After the Event, WCIU staff will select five (5) dogs to attend an audition at the WCIU station located at 26 N Halsted, Chicago, Illinois. Winners will be notified within five (5) business days after the conclusion of the Event.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected or mutilated registries, including due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction.

Any questions regarding this promotion by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by ‘WCIU, The U’ in its sole discretion, and ‘WCIU, The U’ reserves the right to disqualify any persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the promotion.

The Promotion is open to all legal residents of Illinois and Indiana who live in the Chicagoland television viewing area (as defined by A.C. Nielsen) and are 21 years of age or older. Employees of ‘WCIU, The U,’ Weigel Broadcasting Co., McGrath Automotive Group,their advertising agencies, consultants, franchisees, suppliers, (collectively, “Sweepstakes Parties”), family members are not eligible to enter or win. In addition, individuals who share a common household with an employee of a Sweepstakes Party or who are in any kind of domestic relationship or partnership with an employee of a Sweepstakes Party(e.g., boyfriends, girlfriends, fiancé, roommates) are not eligible to enter or win this Sweepstakes. Sponsor shall be the sole judge of what constitutes a domestic relationship or partnership in the event of a dispute.

PRIZES. Five (5) winners will be awarded a UDog audition for their dog at WCIU’s station, which has no cash value. Prize does not include parking. Winners will be first notified via the email address on their registration, followed up by a phone call to the phone number listed on their registration. Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of eligible participants. Once notified, the winners will have 24 hours to claim their Prize. If a winner fails to claim their Prize, it will result in the forfeiture of the Prize and a new drawing may be held from the remaining eligible participants at the discretion of ‘WCIU, The U.’ Prize Winners must possess a valid picture ID.

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS & CONDITIONS.  Prizes are non-transferable.  Prize is subject to availability, black-out dates and scheduling restrictions by the prize provider. Winners are responsible for all incidental and personal costs not included in the prize description as well as any travel fees. There will be no substitute or cash redemption awarded to any winner. By entering, the winners are consenting to the use of their name, likeness, and/or biographical information, as well as their pets’ name, likeness, biographical information, for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, including any in studio appearances, and on any website or social media platform.

DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY.  Winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Publicity Release and Letter of Indemnification within three (3) business days of notification of being a winner. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Sweepstakes may result in a forfeiture of Prize.

MISCELLANEOUS.  The decisions made by ‘WCIU, The U,’ concerning any and all matters with respect to this promotion shall be final. In the event of a computer, telephone failure, or any other circumstances beyond the control of ‘WCIU, The U,’ where it becomes impracticable to award one or more prizes, ‘WCIU, The U,’ may, in its sole and absolute discretion, determine not to award any such Prize. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited, penalized or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these official Sweepstakes rules are available at the ‘WCIU, The U’ offices located at 26 N. If you wish to receive the names of Sweepstakes Prize Winner, you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to ‘McGrath UDog Auditions’ – Oct ‘16,’ 26 N. Halsted, Chicago, IL 60661. ‘WCIU, The U’ must receive any request for the Winners’ names no later than January 20, 2017.
