Calling all Chicago Characters – You could become a television personality! If you’re an expert in your field, have an unusual skill, or have the unique ability to capture people’s attention with your amazing talent – we want to hear from you!
We’re looking for comedians, professionals, super tradesmen, eccentric chefs, diva fashionistas, ghost hunters, magicians, the king of dad jokes, the master of mommy hacks, old people with new tricks, young people with classic acts, and everyone in-between!
If you think you can entertain our three judge panel for about five minutes, we want to see you at the Chicago Characters audition.

Here's how to enter:
Who should enter? Anyone who thinks they’ve got an interesting talent. However, we are NOT looking for any bands, singers, poets, dancers, creative writing or spoken word performers.
Is there an age restriction? Yes, participants must be 18 or older.
How do I sign up? Fill out the form on this page with all of the requested information, including details about your talent and upload any relevant links, images or video to show us more about you and your talent. You’ll also be presented with various windows of times that are currently available during the day of your audition. Select a time that works best with your schedule. It’ll be confirmed within 24 hours.
What happens after I sign up? After you submit your information, you’ll receive an automatic email confirming we received your entry with more details about the audition. Your confirmed audition time will be emailed to you separately by an audition representative within 24 hours, or on Monday if you entered over the weekend, of when you submitted your entry. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 24 hours, unfortunately, you were not selected to audition.
What should I expect at the audition? When you arrive at the audition location, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in the West Loop, you will proceed to the audition registration table, which is located on the second floor, and check in. You must have a photo ID. You’ll be asked to sign a release form and publicity release form. You’ll also be given detailed information about what to expect when you go into the audition.
I entered the You on The U contest. Will this audition impact that promotion? No. These are two completely separate events. Participates are welcome to submit a :30 video to The U on The U contest by November 11 at noon and attend the audition. Neither that contest nor this audition influences the other.
